Helge Tüxen, who not only runs this hotel, but also the Nordsee-Hotel Arlau-Schleuse and the Husum Reisebüro, has been working in tourism for over 25 years. For a long time, he had the dream of designing a special cruise according to his own ideas. This dream came true in May 2023. Now the sequel is due in May 2025:

For every room cleaning not requested, we donate 1 € to the Friedrichskoog seal sanctuary. In addition to rearing howlers, the sanctuary cares for abandoned and sick seals on the Schleswig-Holstein North Sea coast.
Simply hang the corresponding seal door tag on the outside of your room door. This is your way of letting us know that you do not want your room cleaned on that day – as a thank you, we will donate 1 € to the Friedrichskoog seal sanctuary.
